When creating a workplace concept, it is important to strike the right balance between current needs and future goals. In our workplace analysis we build a detailed picture of the “now” through information around organizational structures, workstyles, culture, space utilization, user requirements, and employee mobility. For the future we look at the business strategy and market metrics, turning them into a tangible future using innovation methodologies. One of these is the persona method; we create personas based on the work and behavioural extremes of employees today and the identified extremes of the future employee. The personas come to life with all kinds of additional details from hobbies to sleeping patterns, allowing us to simulate a typical working day and identify which, often surprising, things they need from their employer, workplace, technology, and services.

The findings from the analysis are translated into a workplace strategy, which are strategic considerations that that set the course towards the new world of work.
